Workshop setup and logistics

Planning a training session is not always easy. We’ve put together the following information to help – let us know if you have any questions!

In-Person Workshops

Room setup

For the optimal learning experience we suggest that participants are seated comfortably in small groups - maximum 25 participants. A lectern or microphone is not required. Please provide a flip chart or white board.

A/V

The facilitator will bring their own laptop and will connect directly to the TV or projector system via HDMI or VGA connection. They are experienced at working with a variety of A/V systems but please have a representative from IT on-call to provide assistance if needed.

Handouts

You don’t need to print anything – the facilitator will bring all of the workshop materials with them. Please provide name tent cards for the participants.

Timing and breaks

The facilitator is flexible on the timing so let us know what works best for the group. Here’s what we suggest:

Full-day workshop:

  • 8:30 am start, end at 4:00 pm
  • Lunch from noon to 1:00 pm
  • Two 15 minute breaks in the morning and two 15 minute breaks in the afternoon

Half-day workshop:

  • 8:30 am start, end at noon
  • Two 15 minute breaks

The facilitator will arrive 30 minutes before the workshop start time to set up.
